<Children's Smartphone Use>

There are many people who use smartphones. They said it's really comfortable and interesting. That's why the youth also use them and are get addicted to it. At first, smartphone was a machine for adults. However, now, it spreads to all ages. Most people wanted to use it, and changed! We can see people everywhere using their own smartphones. This fact affects children. They want to change their phones. And their parents changed it to the new machine. It has become a problem of these days. "Children" means the students who are younger than middle school students. They can't control themselves and can be selfish. Children should not be allowed to use smartphones.

The first reason is addiction. If young children get addicted to smartphones, it can be a dangerous problem. Middle school or High school students get addicted, too. They can control themselves better than young children. However, they can't do that very well. Older guys can get addicted, though. How about our children? If their parents have a smartphone, it can be intimidating to them. They can touch and play with it. Smartphones have really great power to tempt its user. Also, young children can't get themselves from its power. If someone gets addicted, he/she thinks their smartphone is part of their body.

The next point is the expensive taxes. You know that smartphones have many functions. They are connected to the internet, have Kakao talk and many other applications. If you want to use or download them, you have to pay for that. That's why the smartphone's taxes are more expensive than other phones. It means if you do not use the phone for official service, it's not an essential thing to you. It's true that students don't have to get this kind of phones for their studying. They can use their computers and books. I know that smartphones are more comfortable than a computer. However, it's not good to depend on your smartphones. You don't need to submit that much taxes for the unnecessary functions of them.

Also, there are some people who think smartphone is good for them. There are many reasons which are valid. So I'm going to refute about their opinion. These are the main things they nominated to support themselves.

Then, I'm going to talk about their trendy things. All of us know that smartphone's designs are getting better and better. Also, it gets more useful functions. It makes them trendy. It makes them essential and desired. However, trends are temporary thing. It changes everyday. If famous drama's actress holds a new phone in the scene, it becomes a new trend. We don't need to follow the trends of the entertainment world. We need to find and develop our individuality. Most of the youths want to know and follow the trend. However, it's kind of silly. If you follow their things, you can't be yourself. You need to know who you are. Following the trend is not your obligation. It's just an option of you.

The last thing I want to tell you is their facility. Most of us like to use more convenient things. Also, a smartphone is the most comfortable thing to use. However, these comfortable functions can make you lazy. You are so dependent on your "smart" phones. Yes, they are smarter than us. However, people made it. It can't be better than us. It's just a machine to help our work and detailed things that we can't do well. But these days, people want smartphones to do their all work. It's an evil influence of the convenience of smartphones. I also like their good faces of convenience. However, it also makes us idle.

This is my argument about smartphone use of the children. They can get addicted, need expensive taxes, trend is not essential thing to them, and it makes us lazy. There are many other problems about this. However, we can't quit it because of their convenient functions. Then we need to search another way to prevent these troubles. All of us know that there are many problems without this, now. So it's a kind of unavoidable thing. However, it's time to think about our children seriously. Is it okay to buy them smartphones? Not, it's not. If you want to buy it for them, that season should be the latest as you can.

Drabble - <In the Morning>







When I wake up, I can feel some fresh things: It's little dry and uncomfortable to wake up early. However, there are several things that we can feel only in the morning time.

It's hard to wake up, but if we wake up early, there are new things like birds' chirping, bright sunshine, and dry but fresh air. If we open the door at an early time, we can see and fell something special inside. I can't express it well, but it's so impressive to me. Cold and dry, but warm and also fresh. It's a kind of new world.

It's 9:30 a.m. to start to write this story. There are many classmates around me. Some of us are really sleepy because of the warmness in this room. This morning is not that cold, but snowy outside. It's not good for walking.

Until NOW, the snow has not melted, and it's cold like early winter. However, we can't feel that kind of coldness because of our adaptation. There are many people against the cold weather of winter. It becomes warmer than before. I like this proper temperature. I believe that it'll become warmer and warmer.

BRAVE

<Brave> - Compare/Contrast

The movie, "Brave" was about a Princess Merida and a Queen Elinor. Well, Elinor was a mother of Merida and the wife of the King Fergus. She wanted to make her daughter become a good princess, so she required so many things to her daughter, Merida. Therefore, Merida wanted a real freedom. Merida met a witch and bought a spell, which made her mother turn into a wild bear. She did her best to protect her mother ad changed her appearance again. When she was disappointed at the result of her efforts, her mother got back to her original figure. This is the story of the movie. From now, I'm going to tell you about the three differences of two main characters, Merida and Elinor: their characteristics, concerns, and education.

First is their characteristics. They had such different personalities to be together. Merida, the princess was very curious and lively. She liked to wear comfortable clothes, ride a horse, and shoot her arrows. She wanted to do what she want, and didn't like monotonous days in the palace. So when the Queen Elinor said her to be married, she tried to change her fate. On the other hand, Queen Elinor was a strict person who likes to follow the rules. She was a paradigm of the good queen. However, because of her strict rules, she required too many things to her daughter, and didn't listen to what Merida said. Such huge difference between their characteristics hampered them to have balance, and so they went apart. Also, this problem is related to the next point, concern.

Second is about each of their concerns. Well, Merida's most favorite hobby was archery. So her biggest concern was archery. She also loved her horse. But when her mother said about marriage, her most important concern was changed. She then wanted to change her fate. That's why she visited the witch's house. However, Queen Elinor was different. She wanted to be a perfect queen, and she really was! She liked to observe the complex rules. Her most important and unforgettable concern was the rules and the laws. So she fought with Merida, and became a bear. After that her concern also was changed. She wanted to get back to her original appearance. However, she thought Merida was most important. She wanted to protect her.

The last thing is about their educational philosophy. Merida's mother, Queen Elinor, was very strict to Merida. She couldn't accept Merida's small mistakes. She wanted to make Merida a great princess, but it caused negative outcome. Merida didn't like that kinds of education. It was an improper education to her. However, Queen Elinor must be got a good education from her parents or she liked it very much. If she hated that education, she didn't learn about that. Also, she liked to teach her daughter about it. We don't know about Elinor's childhood. However, we can guess it: Elinor got a marriage when she was young like Merida. But she didn't disagree about it. She respected her parents' opinion. She was educated like that. I think she grew up as a great princess that she wanted to Merida.

Well, they were very different. When they fought with each other, that's because of their differences. They didn't want to listen to each other, and didn't think about their similarities. Both of them have a sweet home, and actually, they love each other. There were many differences between them, such as characteristic, concern, and even the education! However, they could understand each other at the end. There were many lessons that we could get from it. But I like the lesson about Merida and Elinor's relation. We should listen and think about it carefully to don't make any problems. I want to be a careful and considerable person to my friends and relatives. What do you think about it? Hey, I met you before I came to the GLPS camp. How are you these days> Well, I want you to be fine. That's because I'm worrying about you.

You worked for me about two weeks. You wrote lots of things like Presentation Manuscript, Journal, Closing Statement of Mock Trial, and note things about the class. I know that your ink is shrinking everyday. It's very sad to me. I love you so much. You helped me to write more clearly, right? I like your sharp hand writings. Those are different with your siblings like pencils or sharp pencils. You are not changed. I like your constant things. I want to work with you.

However, it's hard to be with you forever. Your ink is shrinking every moment, but I don't know how to fill up your ink. It's hard to work you. Also, your traces can't be erased with my eraser. You are too strong to understand. Don't you have any partners who can erase your writings on the paper? You are not same as other guys. You are the most unique person who I met. It makes me hard. You didn't consider me. I was too hard to be with you. However, I want to remain a good friend. I will be with you as long as I can.

Lovely boy, you know many hideous and secret things about me. So I can't leave you somewhere else. I want to erase your memories. You memorized my journal, right? I 'm very nervous that you might say it to someone. I have to be with you to keep your silence. Well, I want to believe your friendship. However, I want to make it sure, too. Is it strange? Anyway, I will stay beside you to not open your mouth. There are a lot of things to hid. So, please, don't say it to others. Also, don't whisper to others, too.

Do you like my hand writings? I think it's not very clear to look at it. If you think that my hand writing is not bad, please tell me quietly. It is a kind of shy thing. I think you must hate my hand writing. That's because it's too small, so you need to work harder than other's writing habit. I'm worried that if you are hard with my habits about this. However, I think it's hard to change my habits again. I already changed it when I was young. So it can't be easy. Anyway, if you fell like that, I'm going to try to change it. I promise.

You are the best helper here. I believe and love you so much. You always respect and follow me. That's why I chose you to my partner for four weeks. I like your prudence and perfect thickness of penmanship. You know my taste very well. I want to have a boyfriend who's similar with you. However, you will not be able to become my boyfriend. We have a small, but such a big difference. That's why we can't be our permanent partner. Anyway, we are our perfect friend.

The first thing about myself is I am Korean. You might be able to guess that from my name. I like rice, Hanbok, and our traditional things. I think I'm a real Korean. Second one is my short hair. Three months ago, our school's girls had to cut their hair like me. There were many students who grew their hair, but mine was always short.
